Found in New Guinea in lowland and hill forests at elevations around 200 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with slender, elongated, flexuous, elliptic in cross-section stems enveloped by tubular leaf bearing sheaths and carrying oblong to lanceolate, fleshy, midvein obtusely prominent below, convex on either side of midvein above, basally and apically obtuse and somewhat unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral from the stem, short, 2 flowered inflorescence arising through a very short spathe and has short lived flowers.
