Found in New Guinea as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte on moss covered trees at elevations of 400 to 650 meters with stems that have 5 nodes below the 2 apical, oblong, spreading leaves that blooms in the spring and later in the fall on an erect, to 6″, few to many flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from nodes near the apex of the canes with large, showy flowers.
