Found in northeastern India and Sikkim; Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines in riverine, Dipterocarp and Podzolic forests at elevations of 200 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with .6 to 1.2″ [`.5 to 3 cm] between each distinct, ovoid to ellipsoid, obtuwely 4 angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a suberect to patent, peduncle 4 to 5.6″ [10 to 14 cm] long, 9.6 to 12.4″ [24 to 31 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with unpleasantly, musky scented flowers.
